Lifeboard
Lifeboard was chat app designed for teenagers.

Mobile App | 2013
Role: UI Designer
Lifeboard was an app for chatting, thought for a specific target audience - teenagers - in a time when platforms such as Whatsapp or Facebook messenger weren't yet popular.
The product was created under the Hyves/TMG incubator. I took part as the UI Designer responsible for designing the visual identity of the very first prototypes.
I found my main visual inspiration in pop art. Artworks from Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein were used as references for the vibrant colours, pointed shapes and general look & feel.

The mission of the app was to provide freedom for youngsters to express themselves while communicating. With my designs, I wanted to set the tone for users to dare to be who they wanted.
