Ali Lickel
Hi there! I'm Ali, a creative based in Amsterdam. I design, I photograph and I also make videos now and then.
I am a UX/UI Product designer with a passion for evolving digital products, for coming up with elegant and effective solutions, that combine user needs with business goals. I have extensive experience in shipping products in early-stage start-ups and I am at my best in a collaborative environment where tech, product team, maybe marketing and operations, all come together.
For the past years, I've been working with photography and video making. Apart from running my YouTube channel with over 20K followers and my Instagram, I do portrait sessions in the Netherlands and I help other businesses create impact on their social media, telling engaging stories through beautiful imagery - both in photos and videos.
I held my first camera at the age of 5. Since then, I've wanted to become a photographer. But first, I became a geographer (ask me why when we meet!). During my studies I realised I missed creating, so then I got a job as a “web designer” in an internet agency. It was in the late 00’s and I've been working in this industry since then.
Nowadays I combine an exciting start-up job as Product Designer at Jump, with holding my camera out and about in the pretty Amsterdam. I love being able to combine all my expertise in my daily work - my keen eyes for beauty, details and, more than everything, my passion and curiosity for people. These experiences are all different aspects of creating and that's what drives me.
