About

Hi! I’m Aline Lickel, a visual designer based in Amsterdam. Every morning I start my day listening to good music and researching design references, online or at the real world. Here you can see what fascinates me. If you like it, drop me a line. I would love to hear from you. Enjoy! +

The fruit lab

The first time I came across this juice in some train station shop, I though: whoever made this is a genius!

Each mix of fruits has its own flavor, depending on the fruit itself – some are bitter, some are sweeter - and how much you add in the juice. But if you’ve got a package that tells you how the flavor is, you know exactly what to buy, right?

The Dutch juice brand, The Fruit Lab, made it: each package has three numbers – one for sweet, another for sour and the last one for bitter – from 0 to 9 (less to more) the label says how strong is each taste. This way you know, for instance, that the orange juice (463) is sourer than bitter and not that sweet.

It’s also genius because you start immediately to salivate when trying to discover the flavours.
